sthma is a chronic, or long term disease that inflames (swelling in the airways) and narrows the airways of the lungs. There is a feeling of tightness in the chest.
Obesity is a risk factor for asthma.
There are triggers that can cause an asthma attack:
- Tobacco Smoke
- Dust Mites
- Outdoor Air Pollution
- Cockroach Allergens
- Pets
- Mold
Symptoms
- Wheezing
- Shortness of breath
- Coughing
- Chest tightness or pain
- Rapid heart rate
- Sweating

- Find a doctor (including specialists)
- Schedule medical appointment(s)
- Find a pharmacist
- Provide encouragement to be an active participant in your care
- Arrange for transportation for doctor’s visits
- Referrals to patient education programs
- Assist you with housing options
